MAYOR PRO TEM SEES MOON

Beto came over to our house and said he was driving by the Mercantile and his son in law was there with a couple of other guys.   The three were sitting on the edge of the Mercantile platform.  He slid off, turned around, having his back towards Beto, the Mayor Pro Tem.

Beto was looking at him to see what he was doing.  His son in law pulls his pants down and then he bends over and moons him, showing him his rear.  Beto starred at him.  He should have ignored him but he didn’t.  He got mad and came over to the house to discuss it with me.

“So he did that to me. He pulled his pants down and showed me his rear.  So I want you to call him over to the city hall and fine him. “Oh, okay,” I said.  “But don’t fine him too much because he’s married to my daughter and they don’t have very much money. You can fine him $44.”

Mayor Pro Tem Alberto Ochoa, Beto

So I called him to come over to the city hall.  I got there first, parked there and went inside.  Then he drove up in his pickup truck and went in and sat down. I said, “Do you know why I had you come over here?”  “Yeah,” he said, “Yeah.”  “It’s because of that little incident with your father in law.”  He said, “Yeah.”  I said, “Did you do it intentionally?”  He said, “Yeah, I did it intentionally.”  “Why did you do it?”   “Well,” he said, “I don’t like him.”  “Did he do anything to you?”  “No, I just don’t like him.”  I said, “I’m going to charge you a fine, $44.”   He said, “Okay” and reached in to his pocket.  He had a bunch of bills folded over and hands them to me.  It was the exact amount, $44.  I said, “Okay, thank you.”  He said, “Is that all?”  I said, “Yeah that’s all.”

So he got up and started walking toward the front door and I said, “Wait a minute, hold on.  I want to ask you one more question.  Are you going to do this again?” I said.  He said, “Well,” looking down at the floor.  He puts his hand on his chin and he says, “Given the chance, I think I would do it again.”
